As of January 15th, 2023 we have officially moved into our new space. We are no longer at the Iowa River Landing location. We are now located at the Johnson County Fairgrounds right along Oak Crest Hill Road SE (formerly known as Old Highway 218 ).
June 2023 - EXCITING NEWS!
The Hawkeye Model RR has been awarded a 2023 Climate Action Grant by the City of Iowa City. The $10,000 grant will be used to pay 2/3 of the costs of installation of a high-efficiency heating and cooling system at our fairgrounds location. Weather cooperating, the system should be in place in time for the public opening of our new location as part of the Johnson County Fair at the end of this July! Thank you Iowa City!
